AUTHORISED. ISOLATED. VERIFIED.
Every Match runs inside an explicitly authorised, isolated Cyber Range. Nothing outside the range is ever in scope.
WHAT A RANGE IS
A Cyber Range is an explicitly authorised, isolated environment that hosts Missions. It keeps competitive hacking authorised and contained. Every Match runs in one or more ranges. No Mission targets anything outside its range.
ISOLATION
- 01Every range is network-isolated from production systems and the internet, except explicitly whitelisted services.
- 02Isolation is verified before every Match and recorded.
- 03Operators are authorised to attack only the assets inside their assigned range and Mission, and only while the Match is LIVE.
OUT OF SCOPE, ALWAYS
- 01The platform, scoring service and range control plane.
- 02Other Teams’ machines and access.
- 03Venue networks and the broadcast feed.
- 04Any real-world system.
Unless a Mission explicitly defines one of these as an Objective, reaching for it leads to disqualification.
UNINTENDED PATHS
Found a path the designers didn’t plan? Report it to the Officials. They decide whether it scores. Exploits developed in a Mission stay confidential until that Mission is retired.
